{"id":2346,"date":"2016-06-21T12:09:44","date_gmt":"2016-06-21T11:09:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mcamps.com\/?p=2346"},"modified":"2016-06-21T12:57:58","modified_gmt":"2016-06-21T11:57:58","slug":"epsco-aprueba-el-nuevo-reglamento-de-productos-sanitarios","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mcampsco-cp176.wordpresstemporal.com\/eng\/epsco-aprueba-el-nuevo-reglamento-de-productos-sanitarios\/","title":{"rendered":"Epsco approves new Medical Devices Regulation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 17 June <strong>the Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council<\/strong> (<strong>EPSCO<\/strong>), a body under the European Commission, approved the new <strong>Regulations<\/strong> Europeans from <strong>Medical Devices and IVD (in vitro diagnostics) <\/strong>\u00a0Although the date of approval was already known \u2013 it had been announced by the director of <strong>AEMPS<\/strong>, \u00a0<strong>Bel\u00e9n Crespo<\/strong>, at the 36th Symposium of the <strong>Spanish Association of Industrial Pharmacists<\/strong> (<strong>AEFI<\/strong>) \u2013 both the adoption of this text by the <strong>European Commission<\/strong> such as the launch on 9 June of the <strong>Medical Devices Committee<\/strong> The news from the AEMPS, chaired by Bel\u00e9n Crespo herself, are two developments that those of us in the sector cannot ignore.<\/p>\n<p>As we have stated on several occasions, here at GTF we are very pleased to see how the EU is improving a <strong>regulatory framework<\/strong> which ensures the <strong>consumer safety<\/strong> and to standardise production methods within the medical devices industry.  The adoption of this Regulation is a clear example of this regulatory development by the European Commission.<\/p>\n<p>Since 17 June, the <strong>Gabinete T\u00e9cnico Farmac\u00e9utico M. Camps<\/strong> We now have a copy of the new Regulations approved by the European Parliament \u2013 which will come into force in 2019 for medical devices and in 2021 for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) devices \u2013 and we look forward to following and contributing to the development of this text until its final publication. We would like to thank the <strong>AEMPS<\/strong> and we would like to thank the European authorities for the enormous effort they have made to promote this new legislation, and we would like to remind them that we remain at their disposal, as we have done for the past 25 years, to assist with any administrative procedures relating to the <strong>Regulation of Medical Devices<\/strong>.
