Last week, between Tuesday 14 and Thursday 16 April, the 25th In- FairCosmetics, which brings together the world’s leading raw materials manufacturers and cosmetics industry players. With 18 of the world’s top 20 cosmetics manufacturers in attendance and an expected turnout of around 16,000 visitors from 120 different countries, In-Cosmetics It has become a benchmark for major brands looking to launch their new products on the global market.
Throughout the three days of the fair, GTF was present both as a visitor and at the stand organised by the Beauty Cluster Barcelona, of which we are members. As well as raising the profile of the sector’s cluster and showcasing the companies working in the cosmetics sector in Barcelona, on this occasion Beauty Cluster Barcelona signed an agreement with the Japan Cosmetics Center, which will facilitate trade between the two organisations, offering its members direct access to products, beauty companies and distributors.
Alongside the exhibitors’ area, a number of talks were held on the world of cosmetics, amongst which we would like to highlight the one organised by CONUSBAT, Novel strategies towards regulatory compliance after Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, which dealt with cosmetics regulation and animal testing, and The Claims Development Process: more than just evidence. During these sessions, participants discussed how compliance with the new Cosmetics Regulation is progressing and explored new methods that can be used for the safety dossier, whilst guidelines were introduced to help participants understand how it works.
Finally, we would like to point out that the awards ceremony also took place Incosmetics, which on this occasion recognised the best ingredient in the innovation category and the best natural ingredient.
